How to get Involved
There are many ways to get involved with the St. John| San Juan community as we serve our neighbors. All are welcome to join us in any of these ministries.
Community Kitchen — St John| San Juan parishioners cook and serves meals on the third Saturday of each month. Join the cooks in the kitchen or choose to bake cookies, cakes or pies to donate to each meal. We accept gifts of veggies and fruits from your garden as well. Outreach Committee Group – This group supports with onsite presence and donates funds agencies or nonprofits in Olympia that work to reduce suffering ie: Homelessness, domestic violence, Little Red School house and others. Thurston County Food Bank – We support the Thurston County Food Bank with donation baskets located in the Narthex entry area of the church. Always welcome are nonperishable, nutritious foods, pet food and supplies, diapers, personal and family size hygiene products and feminine hygiene products. Cash donations are accepted as well. Events & Hospitality Committee — This group arranges hospitality events in connection with high holidays, diocesan visits, weekly Coffee Hour After Ten (CHAT) and other seasonal or special events over the course of the year. Our goal is to provide fun, interesting, social time together for all.
